I think that your book will be good. Do you speak about the "great awakening", when the oppressive enslavers ameripeans believed that it was fine for Afrikans to have fake spiritual freedom without having physical freedom? Are you saying that the oppressors forced us to adopt the foolish religion or that we did it ourselves once our enemies thoroughly brainwashed us?

2nd... I would say BOTH!!!
I talk about... I share what a Reverend did to contribute to the actual method of christianizing us (I give actual reproductions of The Religious Instructions of the Negroes. A sermon that led to a book that led to the main way then & NOW of how it was done.)(It is an extension of something Dr. Clarke once mentioned in passing in a lecture I had on tape. I made a mental note of it & many years later, I was placed in a place that had the documens...dc & the Library of Congress.) & in some of my Commentaries sections, I allude to once european left us in proximity, we still carried 'them" around with us in our minds, actions & spirits.
I also share resources for those who want out, or even are already out but didn't have the info.
I think you would enjoy it & I think you would catch some of the 'humor', I think I placed in it also.
