Awards:
sierra leone must apologize to HUGO CHAVEZ
HUGO CHAVEZ INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR PEACE, FRIENDSHIP AND SOLIDARITY
HCI-FPFS
Public Release Statement
7 November, 2009
Subject: SIERRA LEONE MUST APOLOGISE TO H.E. PRESIDENT HUGO RAFAEL
CHAVEZ FRIARS OF VENEZUELA.
The Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and
Solidarity (HCI-FPFS) is utterly disappointed that while the United
States Government has succeeded to undermine the credibility of the
“cocaine plane” trial in Sierra Leone, the authorities in Freetown
have until today not rendered an apology to the Government and people
of Venezuela for attempting to damage the integrity and illuminating
personality of President Hugo Chavez. The HCI-FPFS therefore finds it
totally unacceptable for another country to allow any part of its
territory be used as a launching pad to smear President Chavez.
It must be mentioned here that, on 13 July, 2008 a mysterious plane
carrying narcotic substance believed to be cocaine, and worth over two
hundred million United States Dollars (US$200m) was arrested at the
international airport in Freetown by Sierra Leone’s security men.
Whether the landing of the said cocaine plane was authorised or not,
we cant tell; but suffice it to say that the enemies of Venezuela in
complicit with the authorities in Freetown saw the incident of the
cocaine plane saga as an opportunity to smear the image of President
Hugo Chavez.
The recent discovery in Guinea Conakry of factories that used to
produce ecstasy tablets, heroin and cocaine is a vindication of the
position of the Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace,
Friendship and Solidarity (HCI-FPFS), which had long argued that
Venezuela was mistaken for a crime committed by transnational
organised crime groups operating in Guinea particularly, and West
Africa generally. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)
has also confirmed with evidence that the discovery of these narcotic
drugs producing factories in Guinea.
With the above and other credible evidences available show that the
attempts by enemies of Venezuela to hide behind the cover of the
cocaine plane saga in Sierra Leone to demonise the authorities in
Caracas was part of a grand plot and conspiracy, involving the Sierra
Leone Police and the US-CIA, US6FBI and US-DEA that are very active on
the Sierra Leonean soil.
Against this background, the Hugo Chavez International Foundation for
Peace, Friendship and Solidarity (HCI-FPFS), reiterates its earlier
demand for the government of Sierra Leone to apologise to President
Hugo Chavez, the Government and people of Venezuela for allowing
Sierra Leone be used as launching pad to demonise Venezuela. This is a
naturally acclaimed demand which we believe the government in Freetown
will make wise decision in order to re-brand its image towards the
Government and people of Venezuela.
We commend the CNDD Government of President Moussa Dadis Camara in
Guinea for its commitment and result oriented campaign to combat the
menace of organised crimes in the region. We call upon President
Moussa Dadis Camara not to allow the manipulative mechanism of the
enemies of Guinea and Africa in general to deter his Government’s
efforts aimed at fighting and winning the just war against narcotic
trafficking, banditry, corruption and all those other evils that
destroy nations and peoples.
We call also upon the civilised world to provide assistance to help
the Government of Guinea in the fight against crime, and to ensure a
peaceful, credible and democratic transition to constitutional order
in the shortest time possible. We call upon all hostile forces, be it
governments and the corporate media to respect the sovereignty and
territorial integrity of Guinea, and stop meddling in the internal
politics of the West African nation.
Viva Africa-Venezuelan solidarity!
