Livication Tribute to the Honorable Lady Henrietta Vinton Davis Part 1

She was a dramatic reader, elocutionist and Shakespearean actor who worked with Marcus Garvey beginning in 1919 to build the African Redemption Movement of the UNIA-ACL. She was the first International Organizer, Vice President of the Black Star Line and member of the BSL board of directors. She also was the ranking member of the UNIA and BSL on the maiden voyage of the SS Frederick Douglass.

She currently has no marker for her grave in Harmony Memorial Park located in Landover, Maryland and we are working diligently to rectify that issue.
