Y˘nni aseda o! I'm glad you found it inspiring. I have a collection where the only thing that prevents me from sharing more is just the time and the equipment. I purchased the plusdeck2 in order to convert old tapes like these to mp3 to share with other Abibifo (Afrikans). I look forward to the day when more Abibifo (Afrikans) move towards sharing things that can help move us towards greater Afrikan liberation.

As long as Abibitumi Kasa is around, this will be one such place of sharing and building community in the re-Afrikanization process in our return to our source.

Love and happiness everyone! Listening to this song made me feel the same emotions I experienced while attending the Rites of Passage ceremonies during the Sankofa Conference 2008 in DC. (if you didn't go this year make sure you go 2009!) That was my very first time attending the conference and a Rites of Passage ceremony. During the ceremony I became teary-eyed watching the young people cross over to a new level of life experiences and responsibilities. I was hoping no one saw me crying and think that I was sad because those tears were tears of hope-maybe one day my children will go through rites of passage and be able to sing and dance just like them. Medase Obadele for sharing.
Blessings! Teonia
