Default Re: Africanisms in the Gullah Dialect

Blacknificent resource!!! I know that my Grandfather migrated to California from Georgia about 35-40 years ago but that's about it. Unfortunately, I have never had the pleasure of knowing/meeting any of my family members from Georgia [they might not even know I exist]. This book looks like a GREAT introduction into the Gullah dialect and it's African connection. Also, it may help to explain what role Georgia has played in my [personal] history as well as collective Afrikan history. I'll be picking it up ASAP. *Note* Every book that you've posted on Abibitumkasa.com has been extremely beneficial to my cultural/historical/liguistic development. [i.e. books by Kwame Gyekye, Geneva Smitherman and Clinton Crawford's Ebonics and Language Education]
