Hetepu,
I am humbled ny this brother's agility, balance, core strength and fluidity of movement. Such ability is a product of intense discipline. My comment pertains not to the techniques demonstrated, but to the description of the "sickest negro alive". As a website devoted to "Afrikans serious about total liberation", I am concerned with such a caption being posted. In our culture, the refinement of athletic ability has always been valued. Awe of our physical prowess it is what had are ancestors in the plantation's fields. However, as aware Afrikans we must realize that for liberation mental agility and spiritual development is paramount to physical skills. I question why a man is referred to as a negro (in what I assume is a complement). I am aware that sick can also mean bad, tight, off the hook, etc. But we are black men; and if we are to actually be warriors, the term negro cannot be accepted. I come from the understanding that a "negro" is an African unaware of their spiritual traditions, the effect of the MAAFA on family ties, and ignorant to the cultural neccesity of one's native tounge. If one accepts this definition, a negro can and never will be an African warrior. What it means to be an African is by no means a reality understood nor accepted by the masses of our people. Therefore, we must be aware of the implications of promoting African techniques of martial skills while forsaking the essence/the core of liberation; freedom the pyschological chains that binds are people across the globe. Health, Wealth, & life of Discipline. Beynu |

I appreciate the time and reflection you've put into your response. I oblige you to take note of the fact that "the sickest negro alive" was never posted here for precisely the reasons you outlined. The original caption on youtube was "the sickest negro alive" and for part two "crazy jumping Black man". Both of these titles were replaced here with Capoeirobatics! Sesshoumaro and Capoeirobatics pt 2! Sesshoumaro The reason why I changed the title here is precisely for the reasons outlined by yourself as this is a forum for Afrikan Liberation. Capoeirobatics was a word that I coined (to my knowledge) instantly on the basis of seeing this Afrikan's agility. Sesshoumaro is his Nome de Guerra in Capoeira. Again I appreciate you taking the time to respond here and I welcome further input from you. I am disappointed however that you did not take note of the fact I quite intentionally did not title either post the sickest negro alive or crazy jumping Black man as were the titles that they had and currently have on youtube. Nhyira nka wo, /me
