It means Sublime King. The name Alva goes back in my family 7 generations, and my infant son is named Alva as well. As a family we've been looking to change our last name but have been finding it difficult. How does one even begin going about the process of choosing a new surname?

My parents exchanged last names instead of wedding rings at marriage choosing one that would encapsulate the destiny of the family.
