8-) Kea le lumelisa baheso(greetings to you my people
)
I am an employee of the Home Affairs and Public Safety Dpartment where I work as a Researcher. At this very moment we are about to go out and do a survey about the public's views on the role of the Police in our country's present and future development. We already know that the Police were historically the enemy of the people and that it is of late that there is talk about making them more human rights concsious.
I have learned that we are not able to put clearly what is their contribution in economic terms and would like to learn of their role int the total liberation of Africans as they have often been used to suppress their own people.Scores have died and been illtreated while in their custody.

Yours sincerely
njaromankil aka marero

Lumelang kaofela (Hi to you all),

[size=12]We are social science researchers and are currently doing a literature review (for the next two weeks ) for the study that we are about to undertake that is on the role of the Police in the social, economic and political development of our people. Do people have negative or positive viewpoints about the police?

We already know that their past deeds make them an enemy of the people whose interest is to enforce the law and system, both socil and economic, that are used to oppress such people.Is there a meaningful role for the police in the present future or are the police designed to stop the liberation of their own people?

Hoping to learn,
njarokiliman aka marero

Kea leboha!

Is that SeSotho you're speaking?

Well I can give you my opinion of the ho-lice as we call them around here and it will not be generally favorable though I can acknowledge that there are some "Spooks who sat be the Door" so to speak.

Perhaps you can start up a poll in the open forum as part of your survey. We have about 250 members, though some are more active than others.

The open forum is located here: http://abibitumikasa.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Ahomegye

I look forward to the process of learning and teaching. Perhaps if you have resources in your language, we can create a forum for it.

Dumela,

Obadele
