Re: BBC Radio in Kiswahili
In terms of learning the Kiswahili language I've found this site to be an invaluable resource. What I try to do every day is listen to the "Amka na BBC" program. Its a news program with decidedly European leanings, but on the upside it runs about 30 minutes and is very helpful for picking up the sheer speed at which native speakers utilize the language.
What its taught me is that there is no way on earth to translate Kiswahili on the fly at least in my brain. The only way to make it work is to fully internalize the language.
Cheers,
Alva Sakima

Asante sana! I've made it a point to listen to some Kiswahili every day to help me learn. Don't have a clue what they're saying yet.... but I will someday soon!
