I am good thank you. I have been so deep in studies I have just come up for air. The family is fine. I hope you and your family are well.

I've got to learn Twi. When I went to Ghana, I barely understood any language. My family encouraged me to learn Twi since it is one of the most popular languages. Can you recommend any books on Arab Slave Trade, Arab-Afrikan relations, etc. The university that I go to seems to focus more on the US-Israel-Middle East. So, I figured I could at least learn Arabic and do some studying on my own. You said you were going to UG-Legon? Are you taking courses online or you live in GH?
  12. View Conversation
I'll be done for the semester for a few weeks and then I'm off to North Afrika. I am studying Arabic as a major in order to learn more about Arab-Afrikan relations, Arab Slave Trade, and Islam in Afrika. My minor is Swahili. I am working on my BA. Ahh, a degree in linguistics? I love to study different languages. Which languages have you studied? Are you getting a PhD in a specific language? I know you'll do well in your studies.

Everything is well. We're in a good health. How are you and your family? I have been busy with school lately and have not been able to dedicate as much time to contributing to the website. School is almost over, and I am sure I will be able participate soon. Thanks for checking. I appreciate it.

My Ghana-made RLG L8 Smartphone Review (Two weeks and counting)

by Obadele Kambon on 01-17-2013 at 07:19 AM
I've had the rLG L8 Android-Based smartphone for about 2 weeks now and I've gotten a lot of usage out of it so far.

To start off I'd recommend it without reservation.

I'm upgrading from two Blackberry bold 9000's that I got at Kwame Nkrumah circle that I've used for the past 2-3 years so it's like a leap through a portal in time into the future as far as software is concerned.

The phone runs Android Froyo 2.2. I wanted to get the L9 which runs ICS but they

Disappointment in Black/Afrikan leaders

by Obadele Kambon on 08-21-2012 at 11:22 AM
Something that I don't think is talked about much is how damaging it may be at times to meet one's heroes, or at least those who one looks up to and find them, in great measure, to be inconsistent with what their rhetorical message is/was.

I recall a great and fiery orator wanted to speak on campus of where I went to undergrad. Having spoken at my parents bookstore, he wanted to meet with me and a couple of other brothers about arranging to make it happen.
