Default Today Ifa/Orisa Affirmation-The Emergence of Christianity

      The Emergence of Christianity

A verse of an Odu Ifa says in part:
Gbaragada ni won nso kooko s'ori ile
      Difa fun wọn ni ileto
      Ibi ọdun gbe npe
A bu fun wọn ni ileto
      Ibi ọdun gbe njo
      Odu pe, ọdun jo
      Amọdun ti esi pe....

      Roofing is a tedious job
Cast Ifa for the citizens of Ileto
At the onset of their anniversary
Same Ifa was revealed to them in Ileto
When their celebration was in full swing
      Another year has rolled in
It is time for another celebration….

A wonderful characteristic of Ifa is its emphasis on universal love. But
the practice of universal is routed in something else: tolerance. When love
is combined with tolerance, understanding evolves; and with understanding
comes patience. Patience in turn breeds peaceful co-existence and respect
for people’s right of religious choice. These concepts were the rule in
ancient Yoruba nation prior to the age of exploration. These ancient ideals made
it possible for later religions to anchor themselves alongside Ifa and
Orisa practice in Yoruba nation, Nigeria, West Africa. As it was then, so it
is today in the twenty first century of world development: Ifa is still
tolerant to all religions most especially religions that are hostile to it.
Therefore, in the spirit of Ifa’s universal love and in acknowledgement of
Ifa’s radiance that predates the emergence of the most pop religion, we in
Orisa Worship worldwide wish our brethrens in Christianity love, peace,
and IRE during this week’s anniversary celebration of Christmas. We truly
wish everyone “Happy Christmas” and the most “Safe New Year” ever, ase. A ji
ire ni oni o (Good morning, good people).
      Aboru aboye.

Default Re: Today Ifa/Orisa Affirmation-The Emergence of Christianity

So is this why Yoruba folk are so Jipper? Happy go lucky. Well we still have to deal with this peckerwood. Christianity under YT, Is an enslaving white supremacists ideology aimed at destroying black people. Why would we continue to apologize and try to hold onto Christianity. This is how a Babalawo can make a peckerwood a Priests? Because some form of so called tolerance. We don't have much room to be tolerant when this Peckerwood. This is just another excuse to not step on the slave masters religion.
