For general use the centrifugal is best. They are fast and versatile and should be your main juicer. Such as the breville. It will however aerate the juice slightly which leads to oxidation and the juice will not last as long or taste as good as the masticating juicer. We have a kenwood centrifugal model we bought here in Arusha with z large feed tube meaning it will take larger pieces of fruit that is our favorite of all time. (I do like our solostar 4 though we use it much less)

For juicing greens specifically the slow speed the Tri best solostar masticating juicer gives higher quality and higher yields and better taste has not been heated and has very little aeration but is much slower to use. One advantage of the solostar is that there is a hand cranked attachment available that comes in handy if the power is out.

There are some good videos on discountjuicers.com for reviews.

There are many different brands look for more metal in the construction especially in the latches that holds the top on. Also look for warranties. Our tribest I think has a fifteen year warranty. Omega stood by their juicer when ours broke down and replaced it with a new one.

The old standard is the champion. It will last for generations, but gives lower yields, is slower because of a smaller feed tube and makes lower quality juice with high pulp content that has been aerated and thus doesn't last as long.

      I hope that helps.

Please let us know when you get started. I only lasted three days 😕, but I felt more energized and 'cleaner' than I had in life. I'd like to do it again this winter. In December my company shuts down for nearly two weeks so we get time for the "horrorday" and the New Year. As soon as I added work to the mix on day 3 which was a Monday everything went downhill.
