Totally confused with the word "papa" meaning good. Why is it listed under nasal and tonal? Can I say either and be correct and understood?
It means when you say it nasal and on low tone it's understood as fan. When non-nasal and high tone it's understood as good. There's also a distinction that can be made between two non-nasal pronunciations where the only difference is in the tone.
