Question for Dr. O or other proficient Twi speakers. Why do we call the body Nipadua or human tree?
Does this somehow reflect an Kmtyw view of the body's purpose?

It seems to be a pretty straightforward analogy that the human being stands as a tree stands. In terms of terminology, the analogy is extended to
ntini 'heel(s), roots' where the same word is used for the heels of a person and the roots of a tree. The other parts aren't too well linked conceptually/terminologically.
