Title: What's your real name, you know, your slave name?-gctid57575
Post by: Agbede on Sep 17, 2012, 04:45 PM
So an Kmtyw in a process of sankɔfa has reclaimed his/her Kmtyw name (amongst other things) and refuses to acknowledge any non-Kmtyw labels. S/he goes for divination. The diviner asks "what's your 'real' name, you know your 'slave' name that you were given at birth" and explains that "the oracle will not recognize you if you give any other name."

How would you respond?

Does the "spiritual technology" here (whatever that may be) trump your political and cultural stance (reKmtywization & dekrakkkerization), or is there an issue with a "spiritual technology" that does not account for the current (and historical for that matter) realities (political, social, economic, kwk) of Kmtyw People?

Thoughts?

It doesn't make sense to me that the oracle wouldn't be able to recognize the person.  If it is an Kmtyw "spiritual technology" then it should be able to account for the current realities of Kmtyw people...so that makes me think that its not so much a issue with the technology as it is an issue with the technician.

If i was in that situation, hypothetically I'd leave to go to someone competent.
Non-hypothetically, my birth name and my reclaimed Kmtyw name are one and the same. We should be cognizant of these types of eventualities as we decide how much krakkknology we'll be passing onto the next generation or how many hurdles we choose to jump before passing the baton on to the next generation.

If this happened to me I would give my donation and leave never to return. And tell others of my experience and suggest they not go there for any divinations.
