The main thing I noticed is back at Morris Brown he definitely hadn't started engaging with Coptic yet as he was giving pronunciations such as that of Htp as hetep based on common Egyptological convention of inserting /e/ between consonants. In an email more recently, he was going with Hotep based on the Coptic pronunciation. The next step will be those who know contemporary Kmtyw languages to put out and debate reconstructions based on contemporary daughter languages that are still being spoken.

Interesting.  Can you give an example? Are you saying comparative as what Nana Obenga does?

Like /m/ 'inside' in mdw nTr showing up as mu in Twi and mu in Kikôngo, for example. Yes, something similar to what Prof Obenga worked on.
