I want to study yruba spirituality but all I can find in my area is Spanish botanicas. Is it the same? I'd rather be educated by the original

Greetings. It is not the same, as the spanish speakers tend to practice Santeria. Which is Ifa(Yoruba spirituality) mixed with Catholicism.

If you are willing to come down to Harlem there's lots of activity around Ifa there and over in Newark. I can share the information once I re-dig up the contact info if you want it. There's activity here in Brooklyn but that's probably too far for you.
