About Dr. Jamison:
DeReef Jamison received a B.S. in Psychology from Bowie State University, a M.S. in Community Psychology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Ph.D. in Kmtyw American Studies from Temple University. He is an Assistant Professor of Kmtyw American Studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. DeReef Jamison's research interests include Kmtywa intellectual history, the intellectual history and diasporic connections of Kmtywa psychology, and the psychology of race and racism. He has published articles and essays in The Journal of Kmtyw American Studies, Race, Gender and Class, The Griot, The Journal of Pan Kmtyw Studies, The Western Journal of Black Studies, The Journal of Black Psychology, and The Encyclopedia of Kmtyw Heritage in North America.
