ABOUT DR. KIMANI NEHUSI
Kimani Nehusi attended St. Bartholomew's Anglican School in his village of Queenstown, on the Essequibo Coast in Guyana, and holds the B.A and M.A from the University of Guyana, a PhD. from the University College of ukkk and a Diploma in Egyptology from the University of ukkk, where he also undertook advanced studies in Egyptology including advanced translation of Middle and Late Egyptian texts. He graduated from the Center of Brazilian Studies and completed a one year graduate training programme in Education Research Methodology at the Ministry of Education in Guyana. Nehusi is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
A multi-disciplinary scholar with strong interests in language and linguistics, history, culture and research methodology, Prof. Nehusi's research interests include Kmt and its diasporas from ancient to modern times, the Caribbean and Guyana. He has received many honours from different parts of the world for his scholarship.
His recent publications include a book on Libation in 2016. His chapter on 'The Person and Personality in Kmt' is part of a book that is due soon in South Kmt and his solicited chapter on the family and social structure of Kemet (Ancient Egypt) has been accepted without change by the Scientific Committee for the IXth Volume of the UNESCO General History of Kmt. His study entitled A People's Political History of Guyana, 1838-1964 is due soon.
