Love this comparison. I used to focus on the racist white women in this photo, but more and more I think the black woman's parents did her a grave disservice by even putting her in that position. We can't blame whites for being white...it's in their nature. What we can do is blame ourselves for taking actions that go against our best interest.

The situation. Notice the students are shaped the same, and in fact looks the same. I would conclude that they are indistinguishable. And this is not just on the physical plane. Their thoughts and belief are unified as well. The log being forced to enter the room was a blooming log. I think by the end of that situation, the log can be stamped "Made in X" and you fill it in. What I find different is that anything made by hands or machine will have minutiae characteristics that makes it unique. Everyone will be shaped by that axe, yes, yet they will still possess unique traits that weren't shown in the 1st.

Interesting thanks. Would you say barring the unique traits being outwardly diverse in appearance the end result of miseducated produces a like minded mentality inwardly which is the same...

And would you say that after being miseducated in either picture it would lead to wanting to for example make our black traits look white. For example skin bleaching, perming, bros like Sammy Sosa and such? What does the "becoming a log" have on the mental psyche that would make one seek to identify with the others in the class to become indistinguishable in outer appearance?

I wouldn't say that the unique traits are outwardly diverse. I would say they are inward. That's why to the unaided eye, 2 cars which are the same looks exactly the same. I do agree that the miseducated produce a like-minded mentality. The environment is an incredible influence. The difference is that the unique traits that were not molded can still evolve regardless of what was original. That's the complexity of the brain which leaves more room for discussion.

I definitely agree. And that's the molding process on the mind that has taken place that ppl like Sammy Sosa can bleach his skin. That's that miseducation and environmental influence. It's hard to identify with someone if u don't have something in common. And the biggest thing that differentiates us is melanin content and due to its constant reminder, bleaching is going on around the world!
In the first pic, everyone is molded. The cops/military, the white students and the black lady. I say the black lady in consideration to her own environment. In the second pic, the log has yet to be molded to their system so to me, it opens the discussion of what the end product could be. It's a higher chance that that logs looks like everyone else in the class but it's not 100%.

I too think they are the same. Or related.. I don't know what exactly was going on in the first picture. I see what looks like women marching in protest; judging by their demeanour and the presence of security forces. I say it's a feminism march because the men in the picture seem to be casual supporters. White feminism to be precise, because when or where were Black daughters never allowed to school moreso than their brothers? My own mother has more than once told me how her father, who I never knew (not even a picture) prevented her from going to school so she could herd goats. I take it that her brothers received the same treatment if not worse; they must have herded cattle. That being said the women in the picture can be said to be marching in solidarity. Hence 'they all look the same' - like the woods; although one of the white ladies looks like she's being prevented by her friend from going after the Black one. Coming from a Black world the Black woman might also be carrying an extra burden by marching. I have heard it said on AK before and seen how Black people sometimes take intellectualism as a thing for whites, so she is standing in defiance of not one but two opposing forces.. even three!
The students
inside the classroom have already assumed the position. Perhaps I won't be saying too many things if I add that the hammered into shape are related to the axe in that both are manufactured. The log is an original. S/he doesn't even
want to go in the classroom. After all piece of wood can still serve a basic purpose that wood is used for whether it is a plank or a log, and that is
firewood.
I don't think the axe has much work to do on the hammered out pieces - I'll return to this point at the end. The log therefore is bound feel more threatened by the axe, and indeed the axe may
begin the process of shaping and only victimize the log even if an axe is not the tool that was used for the final form. An adze would be more suitable.
In conclusion, we have heard about a monster that kidnaps children, Black or white. The same monster is said to be responsible for white Feminism that wrested women from their homes and had them working jobs leaving the children at home unprotected, for the television to fool. Who is to say that the square blocks, or some of them won't end up being chopped as firewood; victims of the axe too?
Well you definitely bring different perspectives to the table as well. I appreciate it. Funny enough, when I was thinking about this earlier, I thought that the log could be black or white or any other race. I assumed black in my earlier thoughts but ultimately, I think it could be another race as well. My thoughts

Perhaps. But I don't really see how the log could be of another race. She is an original! Like how the other races are said to come from us. Maybe the planks were once black too, but once the bark was taken off..
I also thought of how a black child might have a white parent; adopted, mixed race, etc.. And how the big plank itself has been mis-educated. Only one original!
While I get what you are saying, i dont see it as such. That pic can be applied to any situation where the person is an outsider to the group. So it could be a native American entering a white school for example. But I do get you

I would call it training. The log already as an inherent value. Like a talent or a gift. I think gifts can be amazing sometimes; to the extent that they don't have to be touched or tampered with to constitute a formal skill, or recognised. I think the guardian is just taking it there for certification. Maybe the guardian itself refuses to recognise the talent until certified by the plantation.
I myself fancy myself as an artist. I have always longed to be schooled. So I can learn to use art to say something rather than just to look (or sound) good. School might also help me to be more versatile, through exposure to different media. More avenues would mean I had many choices to escape economical captivity; whenever I felt stuck.
On the other hand one of the most renowned artists around here (Botswana) is very skilled in his craft and is very prolific. He once told me that he NEVER wants to go to school. I feel that his art is worthy of praise because of his productivity and craftsmanship. But I think only he can decipher the language in which he tries to speak!
BTW who is Sammy Sosa? A baseball player?!:D And what part of AmeriKKKa is the DMV area?
What about the women? Are they marching for acceptance in the workplace or for the right to be educated?

Lol. Funny.
Well I did look at the Guardian and it looks like an older version of the students. It had been molded as well and recognizes the need for the log to get reshaped.
As for the earlier question, it's multiple things going on I guess. They are teaching Maths so there is some educating involved. But for all the pupils to look that similar and that attentive to the axe, there is much more going on as well. Kevlew, u laid out an interesting question.

Yes they are teaching math...how to add , subtract, divide. They will eventually get to a guy name pathagoris or what ever his name is. They will get to algebra. Will they teach that they learned these concepts from the log ancestors (equating the log as an Kmtyw for the sake of this point)? At what point is cultural context impactful on differentiating from getting schooling and being educated. Carter G Woodson wrote on this in The Mis-Education of the Negro.

Eureurasian huh? Interesting..
In my country they say 'if you lick it too much, it loses it's flavour'! But I am still interested because I was thinking pure eureurasiaan (Like Madonna adopting Malawian children). You see just before logging on I was thinking of a concept I am trying to master. In a lecture speaking on the C.OW.S., Dr. Welsing says that there is 'no such thing as black racism OR yellow racism. I think eurasians do try to act superior to us even if there are no institutions for that. Does Dr Welsing mean that we should side with the eurasians?
I once read that the Rt. Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey himself had some solidarity going with eurasian workers. It would definitely make buying black around here a little easier. There are almost zero black owned supermarkets (only small General Dealers). But Indian/aAmw/Chinese enterprises are in abundance.
Still, ldi Amin Dada had no qualms about deporting all the eurasians from Uganda!

Eureurasian in the sense that there is no such continent called eureurasia or eurasia they are all one land mass.

I haven't read Carter G. Woodson (only listened to Lauryn Hill). And I might not know the true definitions of the words to educate and to school, so correct me if I'm wrong. But I put forth that education is for liberation, and school is for a 'fool'; to give him knowledge. Blacks in AmeriKKKa even say "School him", even 'learn him'. So I think they (yt) can school us, but we can't expect them to liberate us.

When Malcolm X was asked about this solidarity thing especially with so called whites he responded they can help us but they can't join us. He understood what the historical record showed when we tried this on the past. I would say historically if we did "ally" with others it was strategy more than policy. A good historical reference for this is Gerald Horne's book Counter-Revolution of 1776.

To paraphrase Dr. John Henrik Clarke - education should be for the development to learn how to exercise the proper use of power.
