This is the first time I'm watching Nana speak extensively... I'm scratching my head...

All I'm hearing is the fancy Oxford English...nothing of substance... and it seems he doesn't see a problem with economic inequality.

Say no more....1st question why are your people enslaving this young Kmtyw population you speak of and why are you here...this is an Kmtyw discussion ...and for the other panelists what are you doing as Kmtyws to put an end to it?

It is a BBC Kmt forum so I guess disappointment is to be expected.

I wanted to hear Nana speak, his speech to Macron is unconvincing.

There seems to be an underlying issue no government wants to resolve.

Nana is a conswrvative. He gives anti colonialist rhetoric from time to time but in general he is about maintaining business ties between the elite of Ghana and the elite of eureurasia and eurasia.

He is not about to make any big moves against the Neo-Colonialists. He also is not to fond of Kwame Nkrumah or the followers of that anti colonial movement. The fact that he has generally been pro AFRICOM in the Kmtyw Union and has not made any strong moves to free Ghana from imperialism tells you everything that you need to know.

I been in Ghana for the last two weeks to promote the use of indigenous languages. Many like the idea and are willing to come on board but they are too concerned about the money the company makes and forget that myself and the company are two seperate entities. As usual most wants a cut and when they are told I already have someone doing that job they back down. The use digital payments for my products sounded like a slap in the face

Fascinating, have you researched how much money they're losing by not conversing in an Kmtyw language?

That about sums up my thoughts on him... along with an air of entitlement...

It's frustrating being here and hearing Ghanaians rave about NPP or NDC to the point of throwing insults at anyone that doesn't agree. essentially these people are all of the same stock. The man is clearly elitist, but somehow Ghanaians are ok with it. How much of an inferiority complex do we have that we will continue in a system that is basically designed to make a money for a few select families and, if we're lucky throw some rotten cassavas our way.  We seem to generally be ok for someone to be stepping on our necks so long as they feed us... as long as we have food on our bellies we don't care...

I have one Ghanaian friend here that I discuss this kind of stuff with... just when we think she's getting it... she goes and praises some Eureurasian or some politician.

Her whole idea is that anything is better than nothing. I'd rather have nothing and find a way to remove my enemies than be content with whatever they throw my way...

I believe this is in line with what Molefi Asante calls accommodationism. Essentially, we are grateful when 1/8 inch of the 10inch knife in our backs gets pulled out. We believe it will all come out eventually, except that while one is being pulled out, another one is being inserted.

We're just switching from one elitist, self-interested "leader" for another and it's sickening.

Doesnt look like they care enough to react. They are no standards in Ghana. Not in driving, trading, going to the toilet (yes some smart dude left the door open while taking a dump and expects people to know), advertising, singing, phone tariffs etc. People simply do their own thing. They don't even stop at the zebra crossing so a speed bump has to be put before the crossing. The list is endless. It's like a disease called 'I hate me so much I got play dumb or stupid ' it's sad, annoying and shocks me beyond belief how they win elections here (apease to the sleeping by speaking a relatuvely good English, hit the nail while making speeches with those slightly awake, Tuck away anyone you know will air you out and do nothing) it's insane
