This forum will be about the great Kmtyw personality Joseph Boulogne Chevalier de Saint-Georges.
Joel Augustus Rogers sums up the life and abilities of Joseph Boulogne Chevalier de Saint-Georges.
"He was the most dazzling and fascinating figure at the most splendid court in eureurasia. As a violinist, pianist, poet, musical composer, and actor, he was phenomenal; as a swordsman he so far eclipsed the best of his time that in his prime none could match him; as a marksman none could pull a trigger with such unerring aim; as a soldier and commander he performed prodigious feats on the field of battle; as a dancer, swimmer, horseman, and skater he was the most graceful in a land supreme for its grace and elegance; in the matter of dress he was the model of his day, setting the fashions of England and France; a king of France, a future king of England, and the royal princes sought his company; and to crown all, he possessed a spirit of rare generosity, kindliness, and rectitude." pg 65 Worlds great men of color vol II by Joel Augustus Rogers

Le Mozart Noir (The Black Mozart)is a misnomer because Joseph Boulogne was a contemporary of Mozart and also influenced Mozart. Mozart should be called the "White Joseph Boulogne"

primary sources say that Joseph Boulogne's complexion was darker than an average mulatto. This may come from his mother being Senegalese who are known to be extremely black or his father Georges de Bologne Saint-Georges possibly being a Mulatto passing for white as that went on alot in the Caribbean.
J. oliver mentions in passing that Joseph Boulogne was the greatest fencer in eureurasia.?
"And those who seen St. Georges (who is without a doubt the best fencer we have) ought to have remarked that though he is of a very high size, his guard comprehends but a very little distance, by which means he is out of the others reach and still his adversary is within his." pg 149 and 151?
