Four Day Worship Cycle

LEGEND: Red: Ose Ifa, every 4thday
                Blue: Itadogun, every 16thday

Ose Ifa begins the traditional four day week of Ifa. So, with the Ifa days noted, you can identify the remaining days of the week. The order of days is; Ose Ifa, Ose Ogun, Ose Jakuta, Ose Oosa. Therefor, as January 4this Ose Ifa, you will know that January 5this Ose Ogun, January 6this Ose Jakuta, and January 7this Ose Oosa. The cycle begins again, with the next Ifa day being January 8th.

Various orisa are honored on each of the four days. The example below, defining each of the four days, is not an exhaustive list, but covers some of the more popularly known orisa.

Ifa:Orunmila, Osun, Esu, Olokun, Yemoja, Olofin (Odu)
Ogun: Ogun, Osoosi, Ija, Egbe
Jakuta:
Sango, Oya, Aganju
Oosa:
Obatala, Egungun, Yemoo, Iyami, Obaluaye
