Title: Revitalizing Memory in Honour of Maseko Ngoni Trad-gctid30057
Post by: Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé on Aug 08, 2008, 07:12 AM
Ya'll check this article out.   Its long so print it when you get the chance.  Its dope though.  Raises alot of issues around the importance of personal and collective memory that extends beyond just recent history (500 years and less), a memory that encompasses our movements, migrations, experiences, lessons, culture etc. over millenia.  What I also like about it is the author clearly outlines the relevance of a millenia old memory to our present day resistance to neo-colonialism/ white supremacy, and efforts to build and govern a world that serves us.
