 FORTUNATE

Orunmila said, "There is no child bearing woman that cannot give birth to an Ifa priest."  That would be my grandmother, Pearl Jarrett Butler, who gave birth to my father, James Allen Buter, Medahochi Kofi Omowale Zannu Sangodele Mogbarimu Ajinaku El, one of the greatest Ifa priests that has ever lived.  "There is no child bearing woman that cannot give birth to Orunmila himself.  So, if our parents can give birth to us, in time; we can give birth to our parents in full."  That would be me, Nolewa, which means, 'mother comes again'.  I am the reincarnation of Pearl Jarrett Butler, even down to the same day of the week and date of the month of her birth.  We look like identical twins.  That's right, and so it is.  I am the child and the mother of Medahochi.  And in the proper time, and during my childbearing years, I have given birth to an Ifa priest, who is an adept Babalawo.

Medahochi's mother transitioned at the age of twenty-nine when he was only five years old, but it had already been decreed that he was to have a younger brother, and he did, Nyansanu Gbehnazin Ason Ajinaku.  Now that the evening sun has set on the great elephant, Nyansanu Gbehanzin Ason Ajinaku, will keep his promise to his elder brother and grandfather to carry on the great teachings and works of one great charismatic man.  Gbehanzin translated means, "The universe has an egg that the world wants, I am that egg."  Nyansanu Gbehanzin Ason Ajinaku, TAKE IT TO THE FUTURE!

I speak of being fortunate because when I long for my father he touches me and says, "GET UP, MOTHER.  YOU SEE US."  He said those words to me and then he said these words to me, "YOU ARE FORTUNATE, NOLEWA BECAUSE YOU SEE WITH MORE THAN PHYSICAL EYES; BUT REMEMBER, BY THE TIME YOU HAVE SEEN US ONCE, WE'VE SEEN YOU TWICE.
