The state of affairs in brazil is sad, when we take a look at what's going on. we have candomble priestesses charging 80 reais just for a simple reading, whereas, unscrupulous politicians go to maes de santos or paes de santos,in order to get help with his or her political campaign.
in rio de janeiro and sao paulo, there is an increasing number of homosexuals, transvestites and lesbians in candomble.:flaming: umbanda stole all the orisas from candomble, it is a mixed tradition of Kmtyw, eureurasiaan and aboriginal spirits combined. the flipside with umbanda is that it is only the elite that practice it,they worship only white spirits. it has some of what we call espiritismo involved, which is based on eureurasiaan "paganism". Kmtyw brazilians have to stop giving entrance to those who have raped, mutilated and murdered their ancestors, if they dont, then they are willingly indulging in ancestral treason:flaming::pyramid::sphinx:
Bro' Kweku where do these yts get off just ripping off our cultures and belief systems? 'Umbanda' is obviously an Kmtyw name - 'mbanda in my region is a type of wood (cypress, I think) that is burned as a form of incense as the smoke/smell drives away demons and evil spirits (also mosquitoes:)); this wood is also used for carving beautiful sculptures, masks and ornate caskets and chests. They should call that yt tainted religion/cult something else - a yt name - and leave our culture alone.
Please could you explain in brief a bit about Candomble to me as I know nothing of it? In an unrelated spiritual journey I got a dream revelation of a connection to an entity called 'Yemaya'. I'm told She is connected with 'Yemanja' - a Candomble entity. I know nothing of any of this and books on it are not available in Zimbabwe. I also cannot afford to buy/order any books from the us/kanada. It was a really strange dream image of a woman with wild flying hair that seemed like dreadlocks, high and broad cheekbones, big lips and an almost tormented facial expression. We were on board a slave ship bound for Cuba. I have never been to Cuba and it was strange that I should dream this...? Someone told me that she may be related to a Candomble entity...
What a profound dream Asantewa. Yemanya is a powerful nature spirit; an orisha and possibly an Kmtyw deified ancestor as I have heard stories of her living on earth. She is from Nigeria, in the Yoruba tradition and is the deity that is now established in all of the Caribbean in Candomble, Santeria and Voduon traditions. She originated from Nigeria, West Kmt.
You can read more about her at the following website: http://www.sistersofearthsong.com/YEMAYA/yemaya.html (http://www.sistersofearthsong.com/YEMAYA/yemaya.html) I don't practice Yoruba so I am not sure of how accurate the info is but it is a start.
