Kmtyw spirituality.
If one does not "own" land, and one is completely dependent on one's enemy for bread and life, how then can that person be spiritual in the way that our Ancestors were? Isn't sovereignty/liberation a prerequisite for Kmtyw spirituality?
So can we really call ourselves Kmtyw spiritual if our actions (or lack thereof) show that we are comfortable with this imposed status quo? Or can we just take the medicines and rituals outside of the Kmtyw worldview/value system and still get the same results -- similar to the way that "active ingredients" are extracted from plants to make yurugu medisin?
FYI: this is not a rhetorical question, I am genuinely asking.
brother akhu, u have asked very good question indeed! reminds the kongo proverb,if the community doesnt own land, the youth become lunatics, land is tied to the culture, and its cultural values and norms,i know that in brazil, each deity rules over certain plants and they all have their medicinal purposes
thatsa valid question u asked,i am not expert on that,i will see what others have to say.
all i know that the amazon forest have tremendous medicine that can cure man, however, the western vultures amerikkka and britain, the merchants of death, have gone to our forests not only brought their dis- ease there but destroyed fauna and flora:skeleton: now,the indigenous population are dependant on western medisin because malaria and other symptoms that were unknown to them.. yes soreveignity and Kmtyw liberation are the prerequisite for us to livea full AF RA KAN LIFE, OR AFURAKAN LIFE STYLE,this is land revolution without land,we have nothing, with land,we should rituals where our ancestors were burried, grow own vegetables, farm and everything,we are void of all dat, because of capitalism and mass consumerism that the west imposes on us, soils that are depleted of its nutrients and contaminated with all kind chemicals, pathological agents dumped in the water beds, carcinogenic stuff in the air and food, this is just to namea few among other things...
