The phonics, phonology, syntax, morphology, semantics, and pragmatics of Ebonics are grounded in the Kmtyw family of languages, which include the Niger-Congo branch, while some of the vocabulary is English, French, Spanish or Dutch."

English is Germanic language because of it German grammar. Even though its vocabulary consist of French, Spanish, Latin, kwk.
