Oh yes! This is what I am talking about. As an initiated priest of Ifa I must say that this is what many are looking for. I truly appreciate this my brother because this is one of my most favorite verses. I also chant this one for the invocation of omi tutu. Check my email out concerning questions.

I have to share something with the other asafo here. One time I was in a restaurant with one of our esteemed elders and he began to speak to me in Ki Bantu ("Ki Swahili"). And I asked him on several occasions to tell me in english what he was saying. After repeated requests he said to me: "Well, since you insist being on the plantation I will translate it for you."
This is the dilemma we find ourselves in today. I still ask, due to lack of proficiency, what is being said myself. Wouldn't it be beautiful if all of us could truly get off the plantation like my elder was suggesting?

I have to agree with you Baba! True indeed it would be a BlackNificent thing! This is one way that I personally recognize, that I have so much work to do in truly liberating myself and getting off the plantation.
Everyday is liberation day, as we make conscious efforts to rid ourselves of the remnants of the plantation, and that journey starts with learning the languages of our Ancestors.
