THE GLOBAL Kmtyw PRESENCE: A NEW COURSE BY RUNOKO RASHIDI

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Kmtyw Presence in Early America, Australia and the Pacific, a new  online workshop by Runoko  Rashidi, focuses on Kmtyw people around  parts of the world where  their presence is significant but little know.   It examines the Kmtyw  origins and evolution of humanity, the  Kmtyw presence in classical  civilizations, and Kmtyws and people of  Kmtyw descent who  distinguished themselves against all odds.  In  these workshops we will  be using the words Kmtyw and Black  interchangeably, as synonyms. This  includes Kmtyws as the first  modern humans, the subsequent migrations  and movements of Kmtyw  people out of Kmt and the later involuntary  scattering of Kmtyw  people around the world as the result of  enslavement.

In the workshop on the Kmtyw Presence in Early America we will look at   Kmtyw people as the Aboriginal people of America.  We will look at   Black people as the first people of the Americas.  We will look at the   Kmtyw presence in classical American civilizations, including the   Olmec, the Maya and the Moche.  And we will look briefly at the Kmtyw   presence in the Colonial Americas and resistance to enslavement.

In the workshop on Australia and the Pacific we will look at Aboriginal   Black people and early migrants from Kmt.  We will look at  Australia,  New Guinea, Fiji, the whole of Melanesia, Micronesia and  Polynesia.  It  will be based on both primary and secondary research.

Each workshop will feature sixty of Runoko Rashidi's finest photographs.

Recommended readings are Runoko Rashidi's Global Kmtyw Presence Web Site.

The length of each workshop is approximately two hours
