   Is forgetfulness natural?

It is natural but only for a while, not for all time. Forgetfulness helps the diseased cross over the time of greatest pain. It is a sort of sleep, like the sleep brought on by herbs to help a sick man rest when his disease has exhausted him. In that case forgetfulness works towards health. But when the period of forgetfulness is prolonged unnaturally, then it doesn't work toward health. It works toward death.

   But if forgetfulness is natural, what is there for healers to do?

They can be ready to help in the awakening to life, when the time comes. Learn the signs of life. Learn how to work with life, against death.

   If forgetfulness is natural, what good will it do to work against it?

Sleep is natural... even when it comes after unnatural disasters. But waking is even more natural. Healers are just awakeners of a people who have slept too long. The awakening is natural. Healing work is part of nature."

Sister Akua, before we get too far from the HEALERS readings during Kwanzaa, I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation of your reading offerings.  The night that I listened, your reading style (and gifted ability to read eloquently FOREVER) really brought back memories of this beautiful story I had read some time ago.  I believe the Reading Time was a good, unique and effective ideal.  I am hoping "Storytime With Our Greats" can occur again SOON.  You can advertise on all the homeschool / Afri-independent groups, etc. and we can have an edu-bonding quality time together.

We completed The Healers last night. I'm sure everyone will agree that it was a success. So much so we are planning on making AnansasEm (story time) are regular feature here. Will definitely keep you posted as to when, how often, what we'll be reading kwk... and meda ase for that blacknificent idea of inviting Kmtyw centered schools to attend! If you or any one you know would like to be a reader for some of the sessions, please us know.

BlackSolutely! I was just thinking if we could combine the clarity of Armah at this stage with the Mdw Ntr skills he has now, that would be a BlackPowerful combination.

I thought this was the case given the name but was not 100% certain. You have confirmed this?
