I am not trying to be funny, at all, with this message.
I saw the film, Black August, last night about the imprisonment of our Esteemed and Most Honorable Brother George Jackson. I do not know how accurate the portrayal of him was in the film; I am not here to critique or analyze it.
What I am here to say is this: I have been following and fighting against this system of white domination by terror for over 35 years. I have always spoken against the gross injustices against Kmtyws: the crushing of the Spirits of our children in schools, the drugs dumped in our communities, poor health care, fighting to free Black political prisoners, the negative hollywood images of Black people and you know the rest of the list.
In watching the film, "Black August", I REAL EYE-ZED, even more, that not only was Brother George Jackson shackled in chains around his hands, waist and legs, and bound to a small cell 23 1/2 hours each day, but I, AND ALL OF YOU, ARE SHACKLED, AS WELL.
"Whadda mean, I'm shackled too: I'm out here walking around, going out to eat, having fun, going to school, shopping til I drop, doing anything I wanna do? That makes you even more shackled, because you don't know you are in prison. This is precisely what makes CONCEPTUAL INCARCERATION AND MIND CONTROL SO EFFECTIVE, BLACK PEOPLE DON'T REAL EYES THEY ARE TRAPPED! WE THINK WE ARE FREE!
 
I once wrote that the white dominators by terror have made the entire planet an:
International Prison
International Plantation
International Cesspool
International Cemetery
And we are all tied into this international web of chaos, destruction and death.
As I watched Brother George Jackson (and Mumia and all the Black Political Prisoners) stuggle in chains, as I said, I REAL EYE-ZED, (AGAIN, STILL, AND EVEN MORE) that I was struggling too.
My struggle and incarceration is a CONCEPTUAL ONE. We Kmtyws have been captives in this land from -some say 1555, others say 1619 til now- and NO ONE HAS FIGURED OUT HOW TO STOP WHITE PEOPLE FROM DOING WHAT WHITE PEOPLE DO! OR HOW TO STOP BLACK PEOPLE FROM COMMITTING SUBTLE SUICIDE, precipitated, promoted and maintained by the white dominators.
 
Do you understand what I am saying? In 538 years here in this land, we have not come up WITH A CONCEPT THAT CAN TRUMP white domination by terror. So, in part, this is our incarceration, CONCEPTUAL INCARCERATION- WE ARE SHACKLED AND BOUND BY THE CHAINS OF OUR THINKING, REASONING AND CONCEPTUAL LIMITS. IN OTHER WORDS, we are all just like all the Black Political Prisoners, we are struggling to BREAK THE CONCEPTUAL CHAINS.
No Kmtyw has come up with an IMPLEMENTABLE (I created this word) Once and For All Solution to the biggest problem on planet earth:
I want to take a moment here to truly thank all of our Ancestors who showed us the way, BY EXAMPLE, that has led us to this point- Even though we have not been Liberated, our Ancestors showed us what DOES NOT WORK! Therefore, we can eliminate these things, and discussions about these things, because we know, for a certainty, they did not and do not work (to get us free)`
Remember, like Brother George Jackson, Liberation has always been the goal!
~ education and getting degrees hasn't worked to get us free- or we woulda been free
~ getting tons of money, jewelry, gold, diamonds, big houses hasn't worked to get us free- or we woulda been free
~ fame, perms, long eyelashes, long fingernails, dyeing our hair blond, starring roles in movies and t.v. as clowns, buffoons, cops, agents, and sambos hasn't gotten us free- or we woulda been free
~ singing, dancing, gospel singing, hand clapping, shouting, rapping, poetry writin' and spouting, rhyming, shuffling, skinnin', grinnin', frontin', fakin', jivin', conniving, back stabbin', hustlin' hasn't gotten us free- or we woulda been free
~ big fat screaming mamas in touring gospel shows- putting Black men down hasn't gotten us free- or we woulda been free
~ giving our children eureurasiaan names, wearing expensive eureurasiaan brand name clothes, buying and ridin in big fancy cars, that we know we can't afford, frontin' and pretendin' hasn't gotten us free- or we woulda been free
~ voting, being a demo(n)crat, a republican, an independent, a christian, a mason, a hebrew israelite, a rasta, a yoruba, etc, hasn't gotten us free- or we woulda been free

Since nothing, so far, has worked, I am putting a FULL COURT PRESS AND A BLITZ ON ALL THE "CONSCIOUS" KmtywS AND ALL THE SPIRITUAL ONES AMONG US TO
BAND TOGETHER, IF NECESSARY, AND START THINKING, REASONING AND FOCUSING ON COMING UP WITH A ONCE AND FOR ALL (SPIRITUAL) SOLUTION TO THE BIGGEST PROBLEM ON PLANET EARTH-
WE DON'T WANT TO BE HERE 20, 30, 50, OR 100 YEARS FROM NOW STILL BOUND UP IN THE CHAINS OF CONCEPTUAL INCARCERATION-
DROP EVERYTHING ELSE AND GET BUSY!! NOW! OUR VERY LIVES AND LIBERATION ARE AT STAKE!!

i am FEELING you, Baba Kamau, and the absolute only thing i think of when reading words such as you've written is that we need to get the hell out of here, in a mass movement kinda way, and go HOME to Mama Kmt.  We should all be acquiring land and planning living spaces and learning our languages and all of the skills that you and your family have so proficiently modeled.  There are many other considerations, such as Father Garvey envisioned, i.e. a military, medical care for our people, ships.  There's plenty to do to engage our young people away from self-destruction!!

But how to awaken the sleeping masses?  i believe that these historic times may bring about some change WE can believe in, and i ain't talking about Obama.  Many of our young folks are more conscious than ever. But everything seems to start and end with $$$, if you don't have it you don't move forward, if you have a little you need more, if you get more you just keep needing more until you end up with nothing again.

i'm certainly no scholar and of course my 2 cents matters not because many, many others have written extensively on plans that i can't even envision, we have the wealth and the intellect, we are just too accustomed to being minor(ities), right now, too many bourgeouise, trained performers who wear the "mask" daily.  But we still got warriors and plenty of them, throughout!
