I understand that "na" can put a sentence in the past tense, however, it seems to me that there is an extra "na" or "a" in the following sentences. What is the difference in what is communicated in the first set of sentences and the sentences that follow?

1.
Na ɛnyɛ Ìrè kuro no mu ankasa na na ɔte.
Nkrantɛ na ɔkuta berɛ a na ɔrekɔ baabiara, yɛsane nyaa atenka bi sɛ na ɛnkyɛ koraa na na ne bo afu.
Obiara na na ɔfa ne no ho abofuo no deɛ, oniiko no deɛ na yɛbɛsie.
Awuraa bi a na ne ho yɛ fɛ na ɔte saa kuro no a na ne din de Mọ̀lẹ̀yọ̀.

2.
