Unity: The Cooperation of Both the Right and the Left Hands
(Irẹpọ: Ki Ọtun wẹ Osi, Ki Osi wẹ ọtun, ki Ọwọ baa le Mọ)

Ọtun*, pẹlẹ, Awo wọn ni Ode Aba
Right, my regards, Awo theirs in Ode Aba
[Greetings, Respectable Ọtun, Babalawo of the town that is full of
wishful people]
Osi**, pẹlẹ, Awo wọn ni Ode Abọṣẹ
Left, my regards, Awo theirs in Ode Abọṣẹ
[Greetings, Respectable Osi, Babalawo for the citizens of the town of
manifestation]
Ati Ọtun, ati Osi, wọn kii ru ẹbọ tiwọn ai ma da (ati bẹẹ bẹẹ)
And Right and Left, they never make ebo their never it must become
good
[For sure, Ọtun and Osi's joint ẹbọ must always manifest], etc.

When the right hand washes the left hand and the left hand washes the
right hand, and when both hands wash each other simultaneously, both
hands become thoroughly clean.
Most parts of the human body are designed this way by the Master
Designer, Odumare. Even though one will be able to see with one eye,
seeing with both eyes give much wider field of vision and clarity.
Standing on one leg will do a good job if compared to having no leg
to stand on in the first place; however, standing on both legs will
give a better support for the body because both legs will provide the
balance needed for the body weight.

In coping with real life situations, support and balance are crucial
to maintaining one's stability. Let us look at human evolution itself
from the embryonic standpoint: ovulated eggs need spermatozoa to
germinate. The mutual support of these micro organisms, conception at
that stage, yields what is known as human beings and animals. At the
birthing stage of human and animal evolutions, stronger humans, be it
mother / father/ or other life-support givers, provide the balance
that the weak, new arrival to the human world needs until stability
is possible and maintainable by the new arrival. This kind of
scenario dominates human being's existence on earth. It is this kind
of cooperation that Orunmila talks about in Ifa when he says, "Ati
Otun, ati Osi, won kii ru ebo tiwon ai ma da (for sure, the right and
the left's joint ebo, joint efforts in this case, always manifest).

As we forge ahead with our divine activities today, we should look
for, and/or try to identify, the support and balance that will be
needed for a joyous sustenance of the day. A ji ire ni oni o (we wake
up with ire today—"Good Morning"). While thanking Yeye Olomitutu for
