 THE AJAMU FAMILY ANNOUNCES THE PASSING OF THIER BROTHER,FATHER,& UNCLE ,SO LOVED
His Noble Lordship Chief Adenibi S. Edubi Ifamuyiwa Ajamu, "Yehweno",  as he was
lovingly called was born in Chicago, Illinois to Samuel Smith and Irma C. Garner on
October 31, 1940.  He received his education in Chicago, Illinois.  Chief Adenibi Ajamu
possessed leadership qualities from a very young age. Chief's mother inspired him from a
young age, to be proud of his heritage and instilled in him the ideals of Marcus Mosiah Garvey
"Up, you mighty race".  Later he moved to South Carolina to help establish the Oyotunji Kmtyw Village where he became a priest and elder chief.  

Throughout the years in Oyotunji he served in the capacities of  Chief Olotu,
and Otun Alagba, and also as a member of the Ogboni parliment, Oluwo of the Ifa Society, and
until his transition was the elder and senior priest  in Oyotunji Village. Chief's life sojourn and
life's work was about restoring, familiarizing and mastering the customs, religion and traditions
of our Ancient West Kmtyw ancestors.Chief Ajamu, Godfather and teacher of countless
Yoruba Priests in America and abroad. Chief Adenibi Edubi Ifamuyiwa S. Ajamu has resided
in Oyotunji Kmtyw Village for the past 15 years.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, a brother and two sons.
He is survived by two children, son,  Dada of L.A., California, daughter, Lalanii Oduanla, his wife Ayobunmi Sangode of North Carolina, three sisters, Yvonne Washington, Joyce Napue of Las Vegas, NV, Omialadora Ajamu (Olomide Ogunlano) of Gainesville, Fl. and a host of grand and great grand children, nephews, nieces, and close relatives and friends.

Funeral services are with Allen Funeral Home, 8881 Coosaw Scenic Dr., Ridgeland, SC , 866 525 0880.  Dec. 19, Saturday at 11am-Wake in Oyotunji Kmtyw Village, Sunday at 10am - Homegoing Celebration at Allen Galloway Funeral Home, off I-95, exit 28.
