Benada (Tues.), February 20, 6247 (2007) Monthly Dáfá for the Kmtyw Month Xwejisun (covering February 20th- March 20th)

E pele O Kmtyws

The Mimo Odù (Sacred Odù) that was revealed for us this last and final month for New Kmtyws and the Vodu-Orisa New Kmtyw year is Odi Osa. New Kmtyws will be glad to know that this Odù came with a definite state of gbogbo ire (all ire) spelled out by the Odù Eji Ogbe.

Ifá says that it sees all ire for New Kmtyws this month. The door is open.  There are offerings to the following Òrìsà:

Ogun – obi abata (kola nut), palm wine (can be substituted with red dry wine if you do not have access to Kmtyw palm wine), a roasted yam, and ataare (guinea pepper)
Osoosi – to share the same offerings with Ogun
Obatala – a plate of plain unseasoned white rice, mashed/cream corn, milk
Esu – epo (red palm oil)
Osun – five bananas
Iyaami – white rice, 3 eggs

For those that have a consecrated E[ch351]u give your offerings to the Òrìsà there. Also, if you have a means of divination leave the offerings there until divination says to remove and discard them. If you do not have a means of divination leave the offerings there for at least 3 days. For those without consecrated shrines take the offerings to the base of a tree as usual.

A dominant element in our reading is that of Earth. In this Odu issues of family and Ancestors are emphasized (mainly physical family).

Ifa says in this Odu to take care of home first. Family is key.

Ifa says this is a time for our women warriors to step up and basically be in the front to a degree. The men must still remain warriors and yet support the women. Therefore, a lot of success is based on how well our women do (spiritually, ideologically, kwk) and how well the Kmtyw men support them.  In addition, this is a time for the elder women and the younger women to come together. This Odu says that the elder women have something to learn from the younger women. In fact the energy of this Odu says that the older women are "visiting" the younger women.

Ifa says that this is a month that will be filled with high points (Osa). At the same time there will be times when the blessings seemingly come slow (Odi). Also the negative situations are being pushed away from us. As an example we can look at it like an earthquake creating masses of debris and a hurricane coming along and sweeping it all away. A new slate has been created.

All that we want to do that is supported by the culture will come to pass if we sacrifice. The Iyaami are working for us instead of against us. This is a powerful thing indeed. Things are being revealed that had not been. All apposition is swallowed by the earth.

Ifa says that this is a time for Kmtyw families to get back together and/or strengthen their ties. All loose ends must be amended. Work it out Ifa says. This includes the EXTENDED FAMILY also. For the various traditions within our Kmtyw spirituality it is time to bring together our various resources. Though we have much ire Ifa also wants us to lessen the scattered-ness among us. In fact, this goes for ALL Kmtyw spiritual traditions and the Kmtyws therein.
Ifa says that we need to be prepared for these blessings. The winds of change are about us. There are people who are not use to great blessings and do not recognize them when they appear. An aspect of this Odu tells us to have the courage to go for what we have been ordained to receive. Also, we have to not run away from ANYTHING during this time. Contemplation, careful planning, and caution will give us the prerequisite tools to navigate on a maximum level this month.

This Odu tells us to turn within before turning outwardly. Think before you speak. Research situations and concepts before acting on them this month. This Odu tells us that the only power that the enemies of Kmtyw people have is the lack of knowledge and right actions by the Kmtyw her/himself.

Our ire tells us that there are positive things that are in store for us that we are not aware of. Eji Ogbe speaks of all that is known and all that is scattered.

This Odu warns us to beware of what we eat. Watch out for problems with the stomach, in particular diarrhea. This would be a good time to get colonics and other types of cleansings. Also, this would be a good vegetarian month. This will add clarity to our thoughts and "lighten the load" so to speak.

Finally though we have gbogbo ire there are always two sides to Ifá. If we do not sacrifice and live the life of Ifá we run risks. So the other side says that we should do what the Ancestors and deities ask us on a collective basis. Also the other side of this Odu (Osa Owonrin) warns us of potential problems if we do not sacrifice and LIVE Kmtyw spirituality. Some possible challenges we face if we get on the wrong side of this Odu are: being burnt out, sickness coming from stress, misdirection, greed, poverty, decay, disharmony, kwk. If we do not sacrifice and follow what we SAY we believe in (Ifá) then we are running the risk of not having as much peace in the home, spiritual and material success, kwk as we should as New Kmtyw people.

Baba Fáwèsagù, Áwotundé Yáo Fá[ch351]eyin

Greetings Baba Awotunde!

Medase for providing the Mimo Odù (Sacred Odù) into the energy around us.

Praises always to Ifa for showing us the error of our ways and a definite way
to fix things in order to create harmony and balance with respect to how we
should be living.

I appreciate you and your tireless efforts that you give to uplift us as a people and
our community on a whole.

Peace & Blessings of Kmtyw Love Always

Oju'

Ko tope (it is nothing) sister Oju. I have realized that truly my life is not quite my own. Everything has to be weighed in relation to what we came to do. Also, we have to weigh that in relation to the community and the nation - nation building.

What you are doing is also quite sacred also. In fact, I would say that all Kmtyws here trying to learn from the akyeame and others here are on another level and are all contributors to this "New" New Kmtyw Nation.

Anytime an Kmtyw can take the time and effort to research and expose information to other Kmtyws is divine. It is something that you do not necessarily "have" to do. Yet, according to our ayanmo (destiny) we TRULY have no choice.
