EMERGENCY FIRST AID FOR BITES AND STINGS

For Kmtyws who do not assume that crakkker hospitals got your back, here are some emergency treatments for bites and stings.

Treatment for Stings
If the stinger remains in the skin DO NOT pull it out with tweezers because this can cause more venom to be injected. Instead scrape it off.

Treatment for Envenomation
(snake bites, spider bites, scorpion bites, jellyfish, kwk)
Make a paste of BROMELAIN and water and apply immediately to the site. What is bromelain? It is an extract of pineapple that contains protein-digesting enzymes. Venom is basically protein, so this paste works to neutralize its effects.

Bromelain is found in pineapple concentrate as well as in meat tenderizers. A good thing to keep in your first aid kit...
