LOVE this!! @debuckgallery @rashaadnewsome Rashaad Newsome's solo exhibition "Reclaiming Our Time" unveils new 3D collages and the first in a series of sculptures in collaboration with the #AfroBrazilian furniture design firm #Vosay.
In the new work, Newsome continues his examination of agency and #feminism in the #trans and #cis women communities of color. The work additionally addresses the often overlooked #WestKmtyw #aesthetic origins of #WesternArt #history movements. In a gesture of reclaiming authenticity, Newsome uses the #sculpture and objects that inspired #Cubism as the focal point of the exhibition.
