AAFF 2026: Who Is Joining From Accra or Online?

Community roll call: the Abibitumi Abibifahodie Film Festival returns October 16–18, 2026, connecting an Accra-based gathering with online participation.

The program is built around Black-centered film and media, including features, shorts, student films, documentaries, animation, and AI-infused work. That gives us plenty to discuss before, during, and after the festival: Which filmmakers are building the strongest institutions around their work? What stories are missing from mainstream circulation? How should Black creators approach new production tools without surrendering ownership or cultural direction?

The hybrid format means location does not have to end the conversation. Members in Ghana can connect with people joining from elsewhere in Abibiman and the diaspora. Use this forum to find others attending, organize shared viewing, recommend filmmakers who should submit, and continue discussion after the screenings.
