A good book I recommend for anyone wanting to gain a little knowledge about precolonial Central Kmt, its customs and terminology of the languages, I recommend Dr. Theophile Obenga's Readings in Precolonial Central Kmt: Texts & Documents.
 
It is a great resource for historians for trying to paint a bigger picture of this particular region. Hope you get a chance to check it out.
