Ankobea is proud to present the 17th Annual Nyansa Odwira!

An Nyansa passport is required to leave the United States and enter the liberated zone of Nyansakrom. Passports cost $25 for adults and $10.00 for children 12 and over. Children under 12 are free. ALL Commerce conducted in Ankobea currency (currency exchange available onsite only) Kmtyw marketplace and food concessions open all day.

SCHEDULE (Activities from 11 am - 7 pm)

  * Arrival: 11 am — 12:15 pm
  * Drum Call: 12:30 pm
  * Processional & Akom: 1 — 4 pm
  * Closing Bonfi re & Fireworks: 7:30 pm

Additional Activities Include:

  * Hayrides
  * Face painting
  * Open Mic
  * Elder's Discussion Circle

ATTIRE Comfortable Attire Is a Must! (Traditional Kmtyw Recommended) Sturdy walking shoes for the processional. Umbrella, slicker, dry shoes, etc in case of rain. Sweater for evening. The festivities continue in any weather!.

Appropriate offerings to make at the shrine include: written prayers, Gordon's gin, White Horse scotch, candy (not in wrappers), Florida water, eggs, fruit, yam, kola nuts, flat white sheets, white towels, palm wine, plain white seven day candles, and money
