Atori**, Ifa is that put straight to good, atori etc.

It is not the best experience in the world, and it is not the worst experience, either; yet, every once in a while, one is exposed to some form of wild innuendos. Sometimes, a slander is like wild fire: very difficult to contain. Occasionally, too, the slander might be just a smoldering ember that can be quickly extinguished. Humans are in constant cycle of trying to maintain equilibrium, be it the slanderer or the slanderee. For instance, a malicious slanderer slanders for whatever s/he stands to gain. Likewise, the victim of a slander wants her/his reputation protected.

Where ever we position ourselves in the equilibrium, slandering is as ancient as mankind on earth. Slandering is one of the obstacles that Odumare, the Master Planner, purposefully planted on humans' paths. Ancient people were not immune to slandering as evidence in the above partly quoted verse of an Odu Ifa. If the ancient people dealt with slandering, that means we, too, will have to deal with it. So, as we go about our daily activities, we should mentally immunize ourselves against slander. Should one be an unfortunate victim of slander, then, one should ask Ifa, the energy put forth by Odumare to deal with such problem, to straighten out things on one's behalf. Ase.
