A Fanti man, named John Mensah Sarbah, was the first Ghanaian, through his training at a barrister society called Lincoln's Inn, to be called to the English bar. However, it's not that he was the first, but what he did thereafter that is significant.

After completing his training he co-founded the Gold Coast Aborigines' Rights Protection Society (ARPS) out of protest against Britain enforced land laws in Ghana, in 1898. This Pan Kmtyw organization would continue sustained political resistance against colonial rule in Ghana, and laid the foundation for its eventual independence.
While we know that Kmt is still under neo-colonial control, we recognize the protracted efforts of those such as Sarbah. We present you with an out-of-print and very rare book written by this historical figure. Published in 1904, it attempts to preserve traditional practices of Kmtyw (i.e. Fanti and Akan) law; which we bring to you in ebook form.
