Good one

The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. -Steve Biko
"Intellectuals ought to study the past not for the pleasure they find in so doing, but to derive lessons from it"

I was at a family BBQ this past weekend and  my senior brother and I invited a few of our childhood friends. Somehow we got into a discussion about religion and one of my brother's friends (Haitian) stated emphatically that God is white. As if that statement wasn't foolish enough, he doubled down and stated that if God was Black it would be a bad thing. He got a nice history lesson of Caesar Borgia and saw various depiction of Black Jesus in antiquity. He was very distraught and hurt after my slide show, I still don't think he believes anything I said he just couldn't dispute it.
