I had a fairly busy weekend because of my daughters birthday party, so I did not hit the gym at all.  However, I burnt 1,000 calories setting up my baby girl's birthday party. Nonetheless, I'm back on my grind and will be hitting the gym in the next 45 minutes. Another bright note, I woke up this morning and my scale says I'm still 199 lbs. I'm hoping to drop 9 lbs. in the next 2.5 weeks!

Sounds yummy and packed with phytonutrients and antioxidants. One point is coconut oil is highly saturated. (As is palm oil) Saturated oil is problematic, is one of the major issues with animal foodstuffs and should be minimized. Adds a nice flavor though.

Kelp is a sea vegetable and accumulates whatever is in the sea water. All sea products from the east coast of eurasia (and probably the entire pacific at this point) should be considered radioactive and potentially pose a risk. (Fukushima) try to source your sea vegetables from the Atlantic Ocean.

Great tips @NKO

@NKO The idea behind the statement is that people tend to make burritos and wraps with some type of meat, or mock meat, grain, or bean as the central ingredient. They then throw a few tiny leaves of lettuce on it as a garnish.

The wrap I made  sprouts were not the main ingredient in the wrap. And I meant protein centered not protein free since the spinach and onions also have protein.

ie if you were to add up all of  the nutrients from each ingredient the focal point is not protein but more importantly it's creating a meal around vegetables.   I guess I'll rephrase that in case it's confusing for others.

I'm jealous! One day I hope to be able to say I just 'plucked' an exotic fruit off a tree behind my house!

Righteous!

my post was for the benefit of those that due to ignorance equate meat with protein.

Truth is i'm mad cause if I want alfalfa sprouts around here in Arusha I have to grow them myself.

I remember back in like 2006 @Obadele Kambon and I were in the Whole Foods in Raleigh North Carolina. I was looking at the beautiful purple color of the Japanese eggplant and asked him if he wanted to get one so we could try it. His response was " um, I don't think I want to eat a food that was grown in a country that had an atomic bomb dropped on it." That was about Heroshima years before Fukishima but...

I think of that, laugh, and retell the story to others everytime I see a Japanese eggplant now.
@NKO I agree it's a good idea to stay away from  Pacific coast grown produce. It's  really hard to do here in the US. Most of the organic produce is sourced from the California coastline.

I was exaggerating, however, that day, I worked non-stop from 6 am to 2 pm lifting and setting up stuff in 100 degrees heat.
