About Gyata Fie/ Lion House:

"Until the lion tells her/his story the tale of the hunt will always glorify the hunter"- Kmtyw proverb

Gyata Fie/ The Lion House Kmtyw Cultural Center is the new hub in Accra Ghana, (Legon to be specific), for cultural and educational interaction.

In this space we unapologetically get to tell our story; sing, dance, heal, redefine, and reconstruct our story... in our own words, in our mother tongues without fear or hesitation.

It is our sacred space. Created in the spirit of Imhotep & Tyi, Taharka & Nandi, Marcus & Amy, Malcolm & Fanny, and all our ancient and returning warrior ancestors... we have called this space into creation.

It is grassroots; hand built, brick by brick, by Kmtyws for Kmtyws.

It serves as a resource center for repatriating Kmtyws, and a venue for economic development.

It is a healing space where we gather at tables of healthy vegan cooked & live food from our cafe; we strengthen our bodies with Capoeira & Kemetic yoga. We get healing massage therapies, and other energy work.

As an educational spring board for our youth, Gyata Fie houses the 1 & only Abibifahodie Adesuabea, Kmtyw Liberation School --- the only one existing in all of the motherland!

In conjunction with Abibitumi Kasa, we ask the global community to stay tuned for updates on our (soon to be live streaming right here) music performances, art shows, lectures/discussions, and more!
