You all remember Sean Bell, right?
(in case you forgot, please review the attached flyer)
In case you may have forgot, he was the young man killed by 5 members of the New York Police Department hours before he was supposed to get married. Back then, the headlines read " 50 Shots," and the community became outraged at the fascist actions used by the police in the communities of color. There were protests, marches, and overwhelming support going out to the families of Sean Bell and the two other victims, Joseph Guzman & Trent Benefield.

That was in November & December; now we are in August and the outrage have gone away. The community support has declined, yet the officers who were indicted for this murder have not convicted...

The Bell Family Needs Your Support!!

Every month, this family holds a peaceful & silent vigil in front of the Police Precinct who killed their son, to let them know that their action has not been forgotten. We as a comm unity need to show our solidarity & support, and join them for the next vigil which is

Please make it your business to make this event; details of where it will take place & directions are in the attached flyer. We, as a comm unity must show that we have not forgot what happened on November 23, 2006, and that we will not tolerate any more of our young brothers and sisters being killed in cold blood by a department who is suppose to "protect and serve" us.
