BLACKGROUND

BASHIR HAMEED was born and raised in New Jersey. In 1968, Bashir Hameed joined the Black Panther Party while residing in Oakland CA. Once he returned to New Jersey, he became Deputy Chairman of the New Jersey Chapter of BPP. FBI documents obtained during the 70's reveal that during this time Bashir became a COINTELPRO target. He was charged and convicted of the murder and the attempted murder of two police officers in April 1981. This conviction came as a direct result of his political activity. Bashir Hameed and his co-defendant, Abdul Majid were tried three times. There first trial ended in a hung jury divided along racial lines, The second trial was declared a mistrial by the judge immediately after the jury rendered a decision that acquitted Bashir on the murder charge. At a third trial, they were eventually convicted for murder. Bashir is currently serving a sentence of 25 years to life.

You are Blacktastic as always, my adopted son!!  Asante sana for always giving such high praise and kind words.  That photo is sooo riveting, thank you so much.

To anybody reading this, y'all already know that I am just your ordinary Sista, what I do any one of you could do and probably with your own Kmtyw genius, light up the sky with it.  We need Every One, no matter what you can or cannot do, please trust that you can make a positive impact and perhaps even save a life!

Please share this alert with other e-mail lists and message boards so that we can really show these kidnappers how many family members are paying attention to what is happening to Bro. Bashir!

Si kitu!

Anything for the BlackNificent!

Each Kmtyw is the messiah that we've been waiting for indeed (I am glad that you just happen to have taken your potential to realization particularly in this needed area). Shared and sharing and I am confident others will as well.

Stay BlackNificent!

Dear Friends & Comrades;
I received word from Dr. Courtnie York, Bashir Hameed's niece after her

getting Bashir removed from Comstock Prison to the Albany Medical Center.

She is concerned because he is having chest pains, shortness of breath and

She is very concerned because he has not had a check up this year by the
doctor who did his open heart surgery.
