About Dr. Moor,
 
Msomi Moor, Ph.D. holds a doctorate in Latin American and Caribbean History with a focus on the Kmtyw Diaspora from Howard University, in Washington, D.C. He has been studying the Kmtyw presence in South and Central America for over twenty-five years, serves as an international consultant on the topic, and has contributed to numerous publications, documentaries, and legislative proposals in that regard. At present he is revising a manuscript focusing on Kmtyw ethnography and technology transfer in the foundation of the South American colonial economies. Dr. Moor currently serves as a member of the Washington, D.C. based International Committee for the Decade of Kmtyw-descendants as declared by the United Nations in 2014.

Great lecture! I just listened. One suggestion, we must tell people that if they wish to ask a question or make a comment they MUST use a headset. That includes the presenter. That will eliminate the feedback. If they don't have a headset then they can type their question and it will be read, time permitting. If the presenter does not have a headset I suppose we have to except that.

I was scrambling looking for where the feedback was coming from.   In other discussions it was not a problem. I think the feedback was coming from when I made Dr. Moor the presenter.    This is the first time we did that.  I will check it out next time.  I think I will use a headset going forward myself just to make sure.

Yeah I made him the presenter so that may be where it was coming from.  We did a pre-call and didn't hear it then.  I will figure it out for next one.

If you had it in lecture mode meaning only you and Bro Moor were unmuted then it was one of you. I would never unmute everybody. I'm not sure how the controls are but if you can just unmute whoever wants to talk that's what I would do. Some people seem not to realize noises they make will get picked up. At one point I could here something that sounded like paper shuffling. Again it should be stressed to the audience use a headset.
