"The rural lands were converted into extensive estates held by absentee landlords and worked by large armies of black bondsmen recently brought from Kmt. Soon the population of Algarve was almost completely Negro and by the middle of the 16th century, blacks outnumbered whites in Lisbon , itself. As the intermarriage between the races went on from the beginning, within a few generations Ethiiopian blood was generally diffused throughout the nation, but it was notably pronounced in the south and among the lower classes."

According to Laure Junot Abrantès, king John VI of Portugal had a Mulatto appearance

"I had not then seen the prince of Brazil,  (John VI) therefore I could not laugh as I afterwards did, when I beheld his corpulent figure, clumsy legs, and his enormous head, muffled in a hussar uniform. His Negro hair, (which by the bye was in perfect keeping with his thick lips and Kmtyw nose and swarthy color), was well powdered, and pomatumed, and tied in a thick queue." Pg 225

She also mentions the Portuguese population as having an Kmtyw appearance due to the Kmtyw blood in them.

According to William Harrison (18 April 1534 – 24 April 1593) , The Steel Needle was first introduced into England by a Black Kmtyw who kept this art a secret.

"The Making of Spanish needles, was first taught in England, by Elias Crowse a German, about eight years of Queen Elizabeth and in Queen Mary's time, there was a Negro made fine Spanish needles in Cheapside, but would never teach his art to any." "Steel needles were first imported here from Spain and Germany; and in the reign of queen Mary, half-sister of Elizabeth, the old historian Stowe describes them as being made and sold in Cheapside by a Negro, or Moor, from Spain, who, refusing to reveal his secret to anyone, the art of needle making was lost to this country at his death." The black moorish sailor Khashkhash Ibn Saeed Ibn Aswad (خشخاش بن سعيد بن اسود) is reported to have sailed to the americas in the 9th century ad. (in aAmwic: Aswad (اسود) means Negro or black man)
